Lintec highlights CHILL AT at Labelexpo Europe

Lintec has been highlighting its popular CHILL AT adhesive at Labelexpo Europe. The new adhesive has been engineered to be applied at low temperatures and on a condensation surface.
Launched in March 2025, RE CHILL is the removable version of Lintec’s hot-melt adhesive label material CHILL AT. It can be applied at temperatures as low as -5°C and adheres reliably even to challenging surfaces such as condensation or oil. With the ability to be applied and removed multiple times, the label supports recycling by ensuring easy detachment after use.
The product also prioritizes safety and compliance: both the adhesive and face material are composed of substances listed in Japan’s Positive List under the Food Sanitation Act, while the adhesive complies with US FDA 21 CFR Section 175.105 for food contact.
Furthermore, the hot-melt coating process eliminates the need for organic solvents and drying stages, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions during production.
Linerless Labels with Water-Activated Adhesive
Another highlight is a linerless sealing tape that uses water-activated adhesive applied directly to the base material. By combining product or shipping information with the sealing function, this innovation reduces label consumption and eliminates liner waste.
Additional advantages include minimal adhesive residue upon removal, secure detachment of address details to safeguard personal data, and opportunities for brand enhancement through printed logos or customized designs. Live demonstrations with a dedicated printer are being conducted at the booth. Lintec is also featuring related medical and pharmaceutical applications from its group company Mactac, including skin-contact tapes.
Broadening the Sustainable Portfolio
Lintec is also highlighting label materials made from recycled PET resin sourced from post-consumer PET bottles, as well as mono-material labels designed to match PET containers, facilitating recyclability. Other exhibits include labelstocks featuring solvent-free release liners, underscoring Lintec’s technological strength and commitment to sustainability.
Driving a Holistic Sustainability Vision
Through this exhibition, Lintec aims to showcase its integrated technical capabilities and dedication to sustainability. By leveraging its unique know-how in combining face stocks, adhesives, release liners, and films according to end-use requirements, the company offers high-value label solutions tailored to diverse applications.
